Congratulations, you’ve evolved from using a basic paintbrush on regular paper canvas, and now you’re ready to experiment on a more complex surface:

Glass

A vase or wine glass works as well. These skill requirements are recommended for beginner artists.

This blog will show you how to paint latex on a window or glass.

Suggested paint

White latex

Watercolor

Acrylic

Multi-layered paint

Non-suggested paint

Oil

Standard layer paint

Step 1: Begin with a warm, damp towel. Wipe away any dirt or grime across the surface.

Step 2: Finish off with rubbing alcohol to remove any remaining residue.

Step 3: Apply your first layer of paint.

Step 4: Apply it to dry. It should take up to 30 minutes.

Step 5: Apply a second layer.

Step 6: Allow it to air dry for 24-48 hours.

Wait up to 2 weeks if you plan to clean and add any changes later.

Glass painting can be tricky at first. The main issue is waiting and knowing when the paint dries. The second problem is not overlaying your paint. Once you master the technique, you will make great work in no time.
