I like to sleep underneath the bed, cuddled in the fetal position, during the Halloween season. But what can be scarier than that? You’re ready to paint, but have nothing to paint.

So, here are 15 things you can paint for Halloween.

  1. Bats

They’re ugly, they smell, and they suck blood. What’s not to love about them?!

Where to find them?

In a cave where no one can hear your screams.

2. Scarecrow

Scarecrows get a bad rep, but they keep air rodents from eating all the crops and prevent more rising inflation. We salute you!

Where to find them?

The rural fields of America.

3. Ghost

I enjoy a good ghost story here and there, but I wouldn’t be a fan of starting in one.

Where to find them?

An abandoned hospital or a graveyard.

4. Pumpkins

I’m a vegan, but what can I eat with pumpkins? Are you supposed to eat them or let them rot on your porch at the end of the year? Let me know.

Where to find them?

Costco, Sam’s Club, and Publix.

5. Spiders

Spiders are pretty cool. They have a ‘Don’t mess with me, and I won’t mess with you’ mentality. Just play nice and don’t let them crawl on your face!

Where to find them?

Check the high and low corners of any unkempt home or apartment.

6. Costumes

Kids get to dress up and scare their neighbors once a year. Sounds cool, but adults get to wear a costume 5 days a week for 8 hours a day. This costume is called a work uniform.

OOOOO! Boogie, Boogie.

Let me tell you the dark, nightmarish tales of refinancing your mortgage. Scary!

Where to find them?

Any Halloween or online store.

7. Witch

Umm. A witch is a ummm.. It’s 2025 so I will leave it at that- Happy Halloween!

Where to find them?

Any Halloween or online store.

8. Skeleton

Skeletons associate well with Halloween. The death thing and all, so morbid. Skeletons also make great logos and tattoos.

Where to find them?

Why would you search for one in the first place?

9. Candy

As you get older, tooth decay becomes a true nightmare. And don’t forget about dentist visits and the worst of all– the dentist’s bill.

Where to find them?

Any general dollar goods store.

10. Tombstones

Tombstones have always been a go-to when you want to associate anything with Halloween. Luckily, we don’t have to worry about anyone coming back from the grave because they don’t want to have to face this tough economy. It’s rent-free down there!

Where to find them?

Try your local cemetery.

11. Candles

I think candles are great for lovemaking, even on the scariest night of the year. However, if it is enticing to use candles to conjure up spirits, do you!

Where to find them?

Any general goods from an online or local store.

12. Owls

Owls are creepy anytime of the year. I hate their midnight calls serenading the night, and then there are those big, wide eyes.

Where to find them?

Don’t know and don’t care to find out.

13. Creepy dolls

I always wonder about all the dolls’ heads I pulled off from my little sister’s collection. They never retaliated, so I guess that’s a good thing.

Where to find them?

Your little sister’s closet.

14. Clowns

It’s hard enough that we have to watch these clowns in politics, social media, and entertainment. But I think I’m starting to respect the types of clowns in the circus much more because they come once a year and leave as promised.

Where to find them?

A fair or a circus.

15 Haunted House

What’s up with all these YouTubers having a thrill to find a haunted house to spend the night in? If I want a good scare, I’ll just go to the hood after 9 pm: A real point of No Return.

Where to find them?

Cities that once had booming economies and are now left to wither away.

Well, there you have it. I’m going to stay underneath this bed until it’s safe to come out. I would say around Christmas. As for you, go out there and create something spooky today!
